LMS365 now supports On-the-Job Training
We're excited to announce that LMS365 now supports On-the-Job Training (OJT) by offering a new content type called Assessment. By adding an Assessment to a course, an evaluation of the learners' performance by an assigned supervisor will become part of the course.
The assessment can be based on anything relevant to completing the course. For example, learners can be asked to complete a manual task performed in the work location, such as handling machinery correctly, and this task will then be assessed by the supervisor.
In this way, a task performed outside of the LMS365 system, even offline and on-site, can be part of a course in LMS365.
The Assessment content type is added to a course from the Content section of the Course create/edit panel.
From here, the assessment is named and described to let the learner understand the details of the assessment, for example, the task or skill that will be assessed, or what the requirements are for a successful assessment.
Finally, a supervisor is assigned to assess the learners of the course.

#1 Redesign of the learning module builder
We are excited to launch a new design and interface for creating and managing course content with the LMS365 learning module builder.
Creating or editing learning modules will now be done intuitively from within the context of creating or editing the course.
Selecting to create a new learning module, you'll get a clear overview of the different types of content you can include.
From here, you can smoothly add the relevant learning content before you move on to provide the learning module with a name and description.
Editing the learning module will bring you to the same user interface, from where you can get an overview of all the content in the learning module and easily add new content, delete, and/or edit current content.
If a learning item in the learning module isn't available, it will be shown visually by a greyed-out title of the learning item and a triangular icon with an exclamation mark.

#2 New icons representing different types of content
The new look and feel of the learning module builder also brings a new design to the icons for the different types of content.
This design is seen in the learning module builder itself and is reflected in the view of learners' progress for a learning module. Hovering over an icon, you can see the type of the learning item.
#3 You can now add learning modules before the course is provisioned
The process of adding learning modules to a course is now even more straightforward, as you can start creating learning modules in courses once you've taken the first step of selecting +Create Training.
Previously, you had to first create the course and wait for it to be provisioned before you could start adding learning modules to the course content.
New enrollment type to enable enrollment in multiple sessions
With this release, we'll launch a new enrollment type for Instructor-Led Training called Enroll user into multiple course sessions.
This enrollment type enables learners to enroll in multiple sessions of a course, without enrolling in all sessions. In this way, the new enrollment type will, for example, support scenarios where learners are required to participate in more, but not all sessions of a course.
Admins can either enroll learners in the course or specific sessions of the course.
Learners will select the sessions they wish to enroll in when they enroll in the course.
The admin can set the requirement for session attendance in the Course Completion Settings.
Free sample courses
New course catalogs will now be created with free sample courses that are ready to go
Often, the creation of learning content is time-consuming and can delay the launch of a new course catalog or an entire learning portal.
LMS365 now supports the various admin roles in quickly launching a new course catalog to the organization. All new course catalogs will now include free sample courses that are ready to be published and made available as learning content of the course catalog.
The content of the sample courses will be on the topic of LMS365 and the Microsoft 365 suite and can help people in your organization get the most out of these services. The courses may be useful when learning how to use LMS365 and can act as inspiration by showing how training can be built.
The selection of sample courses will be updated continually. This means that as more ready-to-go courses are made available, more, and perhaps a different selection of courses, will be included in new course catalogs in the future.
You can’t edit the sample courses' content and they will be unpublished by default. If you wish to delete them from the course catalog, this can be done the same way as with any other course in LMS365.
Please note that this feature won’t be available to Government Cloud tenants.
LMS365 chatbot and live chat
Instant access to help via the LMS365 chatbot and live chat
We now bring help even closer to the point where it's needed.
In addition to being available from the LMS365 Help Center, the LMS365 chatbot and live chat option can now be accessed from within the LMS365 Admin Center and at the point of installing the LMS365 app.
This gives administrators direct access to help whenever it's needed, either by getting answers given by the chatbot or by engaging in a live conversation with an LMS365 support agent.
#1 API updates to support enrollment in multiple sessions
With this release, the CourseSessionId parameter is deprecated and will be replaced with a new parameter, CourseSessionIds.
This parameter can be used to enroll users in single as well as multiple sessions, enabling the enrollment in courses of all enrollment types of LMS365 via API.
#2 API updates to support assessments
With the introduction of the assessment content type, we'll introduce endpoints that allow creating, editing, deleting, and approving assessments, as well as getting the list of pending assessments or their IDs via API.
This will ensure assessments can be managed via API.
#3 We're introducing endpoints to manage waiting lists
This release will introduce a series of endpoints to manage waiting lists.
This will make it possible to create and delete waiting list requests, get the waiting list requests of specific users, and get waiting list requests by their ID—all via API.
