Overview of My Training Dashboard and its capabilities

Introduction

My Training Dashboard is the user's personalized training dashboard that provides each user with a personalized overview of training they are enrolled in, their training progress, status, and transcripts.

The dashboard also gives line managers insights into their teams training progress. Therefore, the dashboard includes additional sections that only users with the line manager role can see.

My Training Dashboard has a left navigation that allows users to view different aspects of their training status. Below, we will go through the menu points of this navigation one by one.

In this article, we will provide an overview of the functionality of My Training Dashboard and go through how users can employ the dashboard to get a personalized overview of their training status.

Overview of My Training Dashboard

As an LMS Admin, you can configure which sections will be available from My Training Dashboard. To do this, go to My Training Dashboard > Settings section, where LMS admins can control the navigation elements of the left navigation of My Training Dashboard.

On the left-side navigation menu, you can navigate between the sections of the menu made available by the LMS Admin. Possible sections in My Training Dashboard menu are: Overview, TrainingCertificates & Skills, Transcript, CEUs, Leaderboard, Line Manager Dashboard (for line managers only), Settings (for LMS admins only), and Personal Preferences.

After the retake completion the number of CEUs earned will be updated and the duplicate will be deleted.

The CEUs from the completed deleted training are displayed in CEUs section as well, but it is impossible to access the training as their titles are not clickable.

CEUs search and filtering

The CEUs section includes the following search and filtering options:

  • From the All filter, select the relevant status(es): All, Earned, or Planned so that only these training that have the selected CEUs status will be displayed. Per default, all training with all statuses are shown sorted alphabetically A-Z by the title of the training that offer CEUs.

  • The Completion Period filter allows to filter courses and training plans which completion date is within the selected date range. A panel will open, and from here, you can select the date range from the calendar.
  • To search for a specific training that offers CEUs, use the Search field. The search will look only for the words that contain the search term, not only words that start with the search term used. The search will search in the title of the courses and training plans.
  • Each columnTraining Name, Status, Completion Date and CEUs—can be used for sorting the skills, to do this simply click the column's name.
Clicking the Completion Date column, training will be sorted by the latest to oldest (arrow down) or oldest to latest (arrow up) completion date.

TIP

The applied search affects the view of the CEUs and, therefore, the number of CEUs shown in the bar at the bottom of the screen.

For example, if the user types "LMS" in the search field, the user will only see CEUs of training that have this word in the title and, in the bar at the bottom of the screen, only these CEUs will be counted in.

Also, the applied and filtering affects the view of the CEUs and, therefore, the number of CEUs shown in the bar at the bottom of the screen as well.

For example, if the user selects only the training with planned CEUs status to be shown, in the bar at the bottom of the screen, in the *Planned and Total CEUs only these CEUs will be counted in.

The Leaderboard section has three rating tables: CEUs Earned, Training Completed, and Certificates Acquired.

In the All Time drop-down menu, you can select the period of when the Leaderboard should count data: This Week, This Month, This Year or All Time (set by default). Progress and achievements of the selected period will be displayed in all rating tables of the Leaderboard section. Dates are set according to the regional settings of the current site.

leaderboard.png A maximum of 10 learners are shown on the Leaderboard at a time. Users can see their own score at the bottom of the list, even if they are not in the top 10.

If the user has not completed training or earned CEUs or certificates, the user will still be able to see themselves in the list, but they will see 0 points next to their name.

NOTE

  • If learners have the same number of CEUs, the learner who has first earned the most CEUs will be on top of the CEUs Earned rating table. In case, the number of CEUs for the course/training plan is changed, the number of CEUs earned will be updated after the training retake.
  • If learners have the same number of completed training, the learner who has first completed the most training will be on top of the Training Completed rating table.
