What is External365
External365 simplifies the creation and management of external user accounts in Microsoft 365. This makes it easy to share content and grant access to a company’s SharePoint online site to users that are not licensed within the organization.
The External365 application is an Azure AD front-end tool that enables the management of external users without complicated new system integrations. User management happens directly in External365 and changes are made in your Azure AD environment.
Simplify and advance the invitation and user management process:
- Invite external users via bulk create or via invitations sent to individual users.
- Bulk update external user accounts.
- Employ custom properties
- Include hierarchy information
- Add users to groups
- Allow for self-service password reset
The External365 application is not built into LMS365 and is bought separately.
What is an external user?
When you need to collaborate with people outside of your organization's tenant, this can be solved by providing access to external users. External users are people who are not licensed within your organization, but has been given access to your SharePoint Online site. This could be partners, customers, clients, volunteers, etc.
