In certain cases, the "(...) refresh token has expired due to inactivity. The token was issued on (...) and was inactive for 90.00.00.00." error message is displayed:
- To catalog admins in the Microsoft 365 Connection Settings on the Notifications page of the catalog settings.
- To LMS admins in the Viva Learning tab of the Integration connectors in the LMS365 global settings.
The reason of this message being displayed is the same - the token has been inactive for 90 days. Tokens replace themselves with a fresh token upon every use, so in case of inactivity, no fresh tokens are obtained. Find more information on the refresh token functionality in the Microsoft's documentation on Microsoft identity platform refresh tokens.
To solve the issue with the expired token:
- In the Microsoft 365 Connection Settings, a catalog admin needs first to disconnect the connected account and then to re-establish the connection to enable LMS365 to send notifications, book rooms for course sessions in a catalog, and to create Microsoft Teams meeting invitations.
- In the Viva Learning tab of the Integration connectors in the LMS365 global settings, an LMS admin first needs to disconnect from Viva Learning and then to reconnect your LMS365 solution to Viva Learning.
