How to select Course Catalog(s) from the LMS365 Teams App Valentina Kazakevich June 16, 2021 08:23 Follow About this guide In this article, we will provide you with an overview of how to select a Course Catalog, get the full overview, and sign up to available courses from the LMS365 Teams app. If users have access to several catalogs, they'll find out how to switch between them. Also, this article provides a description of the Catalog tab and information about the access limitations due to the user's permissions. Selecting a Course Catalog via the Catalog tab A static tab called Catalog in the LMS365 Teams app allows users to easily view a Course Catalog and switch between all available Course Catalogs if they have access to several catalogs of their organization. Go to the Catalog tab Select a Course Catalog by typing and selecting its title or its URL: After you decide on the Course Catalog, the Select button will be available: The Course Catalog is displayed with the list of available courses: NOTE: Users will see an access denied message, if they don't have permissions to select a Course Catalog. NOTE: If there is only one Course Catalog available, the user will be automatically redirected to this, without having to select it first. Catalog tab options NOTE: By default, the Catalog tab displays the Catalog that was last opened by the user from the LMS365 Teams app. The Catalog tab allows users to: Select the view for the courses layout their prefer - card view or list view. Set the ordering of the courses. Use filters to search for training. Manage Course Catalog settings via web parts settings (available for admins only). NOTE: Changes will be applied to the current Course Catalog and will not affect other Course Catalogs. Go to the LMS365 Admin Center directly in Teams (available for admins only). Selecting a Course Catalog via the LMS365 bot Users can select a course catalog using the LMS365 bot: Go to the conversation with the bot. Select the “Find Training” command and press Enter: Choose the needed course catalog from the drop-down menu: After that, you can view or filter the trainings of the selected catalog: NOTE: Via the LMS365 bot, users can find the Course Catalogs for which they have Course Catalog admin, Course Catalog visitor, Course admin, or LMS Admin permissions. Select the Course Catalog as a new configurable tab You can add and pin the Course Catalog as a new configurable tab at the top of your channel by the following steps: Choose the Team you want to add the tab to. On the tab links header click > the LMS365 App. Choose the view. You and your colleagues will be able to see the selected view as a new tab at the top of the channel. Start typing the title or paste the valid site URL for the Course Catalog to the “Course Catalog Title or URL” field and click the desired Course Catalog: Click Save. NOTE: If Save is disabled, please check whether all fields were filled in. NOTE: If you have no access to the desired training or course catalog, you will not be able to pin them. Switching between Course Catalogs You can see the title of the current Course Catalog in a descriptive tooltip in the top of the Catalog tab: NOTE: Each Course Catalog has its own Categories settings that can be found and managed in the web part settings. Users can switch between Course Catalogs if their organization has several Course Catalogs and the user has a Learner role or above in them. To switch to another course Catalog, click the Change button in the Catalog tab: Line Managers can also navigate between catalogs via the Lina Manager Dashboard in the Dashboard tab by selecting the needed catalog from the drop-down list: Once you start the Course, you might see the following message We need you to sign in to ensure full functionality of LMS365: Please click the Sign in button to have full access to the Course Content.
