The course admin can set the due date to the course making the course required for learners to complete by a certain date. A detailed description on the Course Due Date, its meaning and management is given in this article.
Please be aware: This function is available for e-learning course type only.
Where to set and manage
Course Due Date can be set and managed the following ways:
- During e-Learning course creation on the course creator page under the Due Date section
- During course editing mode under the Due Date section
To enable/ disable this function, drag the On/Off button.
If the Due Date is enabled, you have the options to set:
Date Type: This field offers two options: relative date and fixed date.
Relative Date – when you select this option, the field Days after enrollment appears for you to type in the number of days after learner's enrollment when the due date is reached.
When the Fixed Date is selected, specify the exact date and time in the field below when the due date is reached.
In both cases, learner will see the exact Course Due Date on the course home page web part in the Course Information section.
Due Date is over
If the Course Due Date is over and there are learners with uncompleted course status, the admin can track them from the Admin Center on the Course List under the Overdue column.
Or in the Course Progress the number and percentage of learners will be specified in the Overdue Status section.
In the Course Progress report this learners will also have the Overdue status in the corresponding column.
Please be aware: Learner can still enroll to courses or proceed learning within uncompleted courses even with the overdue course date.
On the course due date the enrolled learner will receive an email notification that the course due date is over.
Due date is not set
If the course due date is not set, learner can complete the course any time. Learner will not see any due dates under the course information on the training home page.
