LMS365 Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) architecture

After an organization adds LMS365 as an enterprise application to their Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) tenant, configures it, and provides the relevant consents, three applications are automatically added to the organization's list of enterprise applications:

  • LMS365 is the LMS365 admin web application. This application requests permissions to LMS365 API, Microsoft Graph API, SharePoint Online, etc. The full list of permissions is displayed when providing consent for the application.
  • LMS365 API is the application the clients request permissions on.
  • LMS365 API Client application is a native client for the LMS365 API. This application is primarily used for the LMS365 mobile app, LMS365 app for Microsoft Teams, and web endpoints.

If an application is hidden from end users, they'll still have permissions to the application.

To make the LMS365 app available from the Microsoft app launcher and therefore provide quick access to the learning platform for everyone in your organization, follow the steps described in this article.
