LMS365 Mobile App supports the following platforms:
•iOS 10.0 or later;
•Android Phone & Android Tablet 4.4 or later.
The Mobile App supports only LMS365 Cloud.
No additional configuration of Cloud Add-ins is necessary in order to use the app.
The app was tested with default Claims (Windows Authentication type, NTML) on a farm where servers are located in one domain as this is the most common configuration of our customers.
The LMS365 Mobile App provides quick access to learner’s courses and training plans and provides personalized experience from their mobile devices including the ability to take SCORM content and Quizzes offline (AICC packages are opened only in a web view).
All courses (training plans) displayed in the Mobile App are synchronized from LMS365 Cloud. App displays all courses/training plans where the user is enrolled synchronized from the whole Cloud Tenant.
To use LMS365 Mobile App on your mobile device, download it from App Store or Play Market.
When you run the application, you will be required to login first:
Please be advised that if the option "Users can consent to apps accessing company data on their behalf" is set to No in the Azure Active Directory User Settings, but you want to give users access to the app, you need to install the app as a tenant administrator and trust it afterwards.
After tapping the Login button, you will be redirected to a page with authentication form, where you will need to enter your password and tap Sign in button to log in on your Tenant:
User must enter identical login names on the main screen and authentication form. Otherwise, he will see an error:
If you access the Mobile App for the first time, you will be asked to grant permissions to it. Tap the Accept button to continue:
If you want to login to other Tenant than the system recognizes for your account, select ‘Allow me to modify Tenant URL’ option:
After that, you will be able to change the Tenant URL:
If you were shared a Tenant site as an external user, you can get access to it in a Mobile App as well. To do this, first, you need to enter your login. After that, you will be required to enter Tenant URL manually:
After tapping the Login button, you will be redirected to the authentication form, where you will be asked to enter your password:
To configure the Mobile App, you need access to the Global Settings of the Tenant (only Tenant Administrators has such permissions). Please consult chapter “LMS365 Global Settings” of the LMS365 Installation Guide for details.
After login, you will see a Dashboard with a list of all current training synchronized from Cloud Tenant:
To be able to use the App with Cloud Tenant courses/training plans, you must have the Course Creator & Catalog Add-in with a valid license installed on your site. If you don’t have Course Creator & Catalog Add-in license or have an invalid license, end-users won’t have access to the app, and after the login ‘License is not valid’ error will appear:
If you’re using Course Creator & Catalog Add-in license in trial mode (trial period lasts for 30 days), it will be possible to take courses/training plans online, as well as to download courses with SCORM content or Quizzes and take them offline.
When you activate Course Creator & Catalog Add-in license, it should include Offline Player option to provide a possibility to download courses that include at least one content package (SCORM) or Quiz and take them offline. If the activated license does not have this option, users won’t have the ability to download courses and take them offline (there will be no ‘Download’ action). A course downloaded during a trial period will remain downloaded.
The ‘Offline Player’ option is additionally purchased with the license. Make sure this option is included if you plan to use the app in offline mode.
