For Microsoft SharePoint Server
The ELEARNINGFORCE LMS Mobile App supports the following platforms:
• iOS 8.0 or later;
• Android Phone & Android Tablet 4.0.3 or later;
• MS Windows;
• Windows 10 Mobile.
The Mobile App supports LMS365 On-Premises (v. 4.8 of LMS Suite).
No additional configuration of LMS Suite is necessary in order to use the App.
App was tested with default Claims (Windows Authentication type, NTML) on a farm where servers are located in one domain as this is the most common configuration of our customers.
The ELEARNINGFORCE LMS Mobile App provides quick access to learner’s courses and curriculums and provides personalized experience from their mobile devices including the ability to take SCORM content offline (AICC packages are opened only in a web view).
All courses (curriculums) displayed in the Mobile App are synchronized from LMS365 On-Premises. It means that all available trainings are synchronized from the Registration Module (REM) of LMS365 On-Premises. Hence, to have access to the courses on the mobile device, initially user needs to be enrolled in the courses via SharePoint REM host site. To have access to curriculums, user needs to be assigned to them (remember that user can take courses included in curriculums via Mobile App only when he is enrolled into these courses via SharePoint REM host site).
To use ELEARNINGFORCE LMS Mobile App on your mobile device, download it from App Store, Play Market or Windows Store.
When you run the application, you will be required to login first:
Next, you will be asked to select the service address (URL of REM host site collection or enter URL manually with ‘Let me enter service address manually’ option).
When you choose the URL of REM host site collection, you will be required to enter your password and click Login button to login:
If you enter the URL manually, you will be required to enter your password and then click Login button:
After login, you will see a list of all current trainings synchronized from SharePoint REM:
When the App is used in ‘Online’ mode only, no license is required. To be able to use the ‘Offline’ feature and allow users to take e-Learning Content Package (SCORM) courses whilst offline (without Internet connection), you should obtain a license key from ELEARNINGFORCE and activate it on your SharePoint farm.
To do that, you need to run the following PowerShell command, which is a part of LMS365 Suite solution:
For example, to activate a new license, and add new URLs and user domains, run the following command:
Activate-EFIOfflinePlayerLicense -LicenseId GUID -REMSitesUrls "URL","URL" -UserDomains "domain1","domain2"
To append new URLs or user domains to existing license activation, use the following commands:
Activate-EFIOfflinePlayerLicense -AppendREMSitesUrls "URL","URL"
Activate-EFIOfflinePlayerLicense -AppendUserDomains "domain1","domain2"
You can also use the following commands to get information about your existing license and currently connected URLs and domains:
When activated, user can select one of the predefined URLs of the REM site collections after login, and download SCORM packages (as well as curriculums with at least one SCORM course included into them):
